Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Governance Specialist to join our team at Royal Bank of Canada. As a key member of our Data Shared Services team, you will play a critical role in maintaining, updating, and executing metadata processes for our Shared Data Management Office (SDMO).

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and update metadata processes to ensure data accuracy and consistency across the organization.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts to collect and update metadata, ensuring that data domains are properly aligned.
  • Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure that metadata is properly maintained and up-to-date.
  • Advocate for the adoption of Collibra across data domains, promoting best practices and standards.
  • Review and enhance business processes to ensure data governance and compliance.
  • Collaborate with other data management offices and data stewards to ensure metadata alignment and consistency.

Requirements:

  • Strong understanding of data governance principles and practices.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Proficiency in Python and SQL queries.
  • Experience with data management tools and technologies.
