Sous Chef Position

At The LogHouse Pub, we are seeking a talented individual to fill our Sous Chef role. This position is responsible for assisting the Executive Chef in managing the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food is prepared and presented to our guests.
Responsibilities:
- Instruct cooks in food preparation, cooking, and presentation
- Supervise kitchen staff to ensure efficient and safe food preparation
- Prepare and cook meals and specialty dishes
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies
- Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs
- Plan menus and ensure food meets quality standards
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances
- Recruit and hire staff
- Train staff in food preparation and handling
- Manage kitchen operations and inspect kitchen areas
Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities:
- Work under pressure
- Physically demanding with extended standing periods
