Associate Director, Faculty Development and Support

About the Role:
The University of Toronto is seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead the development and delivery of mental health professional development initiatives and programs for faculty and academic staff at the Faculty of Arts and Science.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead a team to develop and deliver mental health professional development initiatives and programs.
- Build the Division's capacity to identify and support faculty and academic staff in crisis.
- Ensure comprehensive coordination, development, and implementation of high-risk, safety, crisis, and issues response.
- Collaborate with various offices and senior leadership to assess, intake, and establish case management plans for critical issues.
- Draft, develop, and implement alternative resolution pathways and restoration plans.
Qualifications:
- Graduate degree in a related field or an acceptable equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum 6-7 years of relevant experience in a university, public sector, or research-intensive setting leading professional development programming.
- Strong familiarity with mental health issues and illnesses.
- Registered Social Worker in good standing with Ontario College of Social Workers and Social Service Workers highly preferred.
Skills:
- Highly developed interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate at all levels of an organization.
- Demonstrated success with the implementation of new initiatives and processes.
- Knowledge of adult learning principles and experience with program development, professional learning, service delivery, and evaluation.
- Ability to keep and secure confidential case records while adhering to all University retention and FIPPA policies.
