Job Summary

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at the BC Cancer Agency in Victoria, BC. As a Medical Secretary, you will provide administrative support to our clinical team, ensuring the smooth operation of our oncology clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide exceptional customer service to patients, families, and staff
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Coordinate appointments and tests for patients
  • Prepare and distribute medical reports and documents
  • Assist with research documents and grant applications
  • Perform other related duties as assigned
Requirements
  • Grade 12 graduation from a recognized secretarial program
  • Three years' recent related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to keyboard at 50 wpm
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
