We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at BC Cancer. As a key member of our health care team, you will provide administrative support and maintain a safe environment for patients, families, and staff.
Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service by receiving and directing calls, emails, and visitors.
- Coordinate appointments, tests, and meetings, ensuring seamless communication with clinical staff and outside facilities.
- Manage mail, prioritize tasks, and maintain accurate records.
- Assist with report preparation, data entry, and other administrative tasks as needed.
- Collaborate with clinicians to prepare research documents and grant applications.
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and contribute to a positive work environment.
- Grade 12 or equivalent, with a recognized secretarial program and 3 years of related experience.
- Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and maintain confidentiality.
- Knowledge of medical terminology and software applications.
- Commitment to ongoing learning and professional development.
