Job Summary

We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced instructor to join our team at North Island College. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses in natural resource management, forestry, and environmental studies.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and deliver high-quality instructional materials and courses in natural resource management, forestry, and environmental studies.
  • Teach and mentor students in a variety of learning environments, including face-to-face and online settings.
  • Assess student learning and provide feedback to students and colleagues.
  • Stay current with industry developments and best practices in natural resource management, forestry, and environmental studies.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement curriculum and instructional programs.
  • Participate in departmental and college-wide committees and activities.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in education, forestry, environmental studies, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of industry experience in natural resource management, forestry, or environmental studies.
  • Experience in curriculum development and instructional design.
  • One year of teaching experience in a post-secondary setting.
  • BC Instructors Diploma or BC Teaching Certificate is preferred.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience with blended learning and online instruction.
  • Proficiency with instructional technologies and digital tools.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
