Caring Community Support Specialist

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Caring Community Support Specialist to join our team at Schlegel Villages in Burlington, Ontario. In this rewarding role, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents by providing personalized support and care.
As a key member of our team, you will work closely with our multidisciplinary teams to understand the unique needs of each resident and advocate for their participation in decisions about their care. Your exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to build strong relationships with residents, families, and colleagues will be essential in delivering holistic care that prioritizes flexible living and quality of life.
In this role, you will assist residents with various activities of daily living, including personal hygiene care, meal assistance, and general hygiene. You will also provide companionship and engage residents in activities tailored to their interests and abilities. Your ability to identify and report any changes in a resident's well-being will be critical in ensuring their health and safety.
To succeed as a Caring Community Support Specialist, you will require a caring and respectful attitude towards our residents, families, and colleagues. A valid PSW Certificate (600 hours or greater) is an asset, but not required. We offer comprehensive training to support your growth and development in this role.
