Executive Vice President Commercial Banking and Market Leader

As the Executive Vice President Commercial Banking and Market Leader, you will focus on coaching your team to high standards of behaviors, activities and results. Collaboration with other Royal Bank of Canada colleagues across the organization will contribute to maintaining the company's dominant market position.
A key aspect of this role is promoting adherence to the Royal Bank of Canada Code of Conduct and Values. These guidelines set expectations for ethical behaviors and decision-making, ensuring respect, transparency and fairness in every interaction. By following these principles, you will help drive business outcomes and build trust with clients.
This challenging and rewarding position offers numerous opportunities for growth and development. You will be responsible for providing leadership, direction and ongoing coaching to the Relationship Management team, building employee engagement through focused sales routines. This includes leading and advocating change within the organization by engaging and inspiring your team to achieve desired business outcomes.
You will demonstrate market leadership by promoting the Royal Bank of Canada brand and enhancing visibility by developing and maintaining a network in the business community. This involves working closely with industry leaders, community groups and partners to achieve RBC's business goals. Effective sales management routines that balance operational and credit risk requirements will also be crucial in achieving market and sales objectives. Additionally, you will leverage full Royal Bank of Canada capabilities, including branches, alternate delivery channels and service partners, to drive success. The role also requires employing digital channels to drive client awareness and enabling clients with RBC digital access.
To succeed in this role, you must possess a strong background in commercial banking, preferably with 5-7 years of experience. A proven track record in leading and coaching professional sales teams to high standards of performance is essential. You should actively foster a continuous learning mindset and professional development among team members while modeling your own commitment to growth as a leader and coach. Strong business acumen and knowledge of the financial industry and commercial banking are required. Experience with emerging communications and technology is also necessary, including web-based meetings, social media, digital banking and mobile applications.
Key qualifications for this role include:
- A minimum of 5-7 years of commercial banking experience
- Proven track record in leading and coaching professional sales teams
- Strong business acumen and knowledge of the financial industry and commercial banking
- Experience with emerging communications and technology
