At ENGINEERINGUK, we are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our Assurance & Accounting team. As a trusted advisor, you will provide comprehensive, tailored financial information that enables clients to make informed decisions with confidence.

This role offers an estimated salary of $85,000 - $110,000 per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping and tax engagements for diverse clients.
  • Manage multiple client files simultaneously, including setup and inventory counts.
  • Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and disposition, and payroll walk-throughs with clients.
  • Summarize clients' current financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports.
  • Assess and assure the appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses.
  • Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports.
  • Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts.
  • Prepare correspondence, technical reports, client summaries, and presentations outlining engagement findings, facts, and highlights.

You will work closely with clients, developing effective working relationships and coaching junior team members. This role also involves participating in business development initiatives and identifying new business opportunities.

Requirements:
  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) designation.
  • 2-4 years of relevant public accounting experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software.
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles.
