Compensation Package

We offer a competitive compensation package including a base salary of $$$80,000 - $110,000 per year (depending on experience) plus benefits.

Job Summary

The Senior Accountant will play a key role in our Assurance & Accounting team. As a senior member of the team, you will be responsible for conducting compilation, review, audit, bookkeeping, and tax engagements. You will work closely with clients to understand their financial needs and provide tailored solutions.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare reports to assist clients in making informed business decisions;
  • Set up files for new clients and manage multiple files simultaneously;
  • Perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, capital asset acquisition and disposition, and payroll walk-throughs with clients;
  • Prepare balance sheets, profit and loss statements, and other relevant reports;
  • Evaluate the appropriateness of audit evidence for expenses, revenues, capital asset additions, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and prepaid expenses;
  • Review, investigate, and correct discrepancies and irregularities in financial entries, documents, and reports;
  • Establish charts of accounts and prepare entries for posting to accounts;
  • Develop effective working relationships with clients while coaching and mentoring junior team members;
  • Participate in business development initiatives and identify new business opportunities;
Requirements
  • A minimum of 2 to 4 years of relevant public accounting experience;
  • Extensive knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS);
  • Experience working with accounting and tax software;
  • Understanding of business, accounting, management, and practice development principles;
