Medical Office Coordinator

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Medical Secretary to join our team at Health PEI. As a key member of our Provincial Diabetes Program, you will provide administrative support to ensure the smooth operation of our clinic.
Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining accurate patient records, managing referrals, and providing exceptional customer service to patients and healthcare providers. You will also be responsible for scheduling appointments, answering phone inquiries, and performing various administrative tasks.
To succeed in this role, you must have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. You should also be proficient in using computers and relevant software programs, with a typing speed of 50 wpm (net of errors).
In addition to your technical skills, you must possess strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to multitask and prioritize tasks efficiently. A valid driver's license and access to reliable transportation are also required.
Requirements- Diploma in Medical Support Services or equivalent experience
- Considerable experience in secretarial related work
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment

- Experience working with TELUS Collaborative Health Record (EMR)
- Knowledge of the community and available resources
- Previous experience in a primary care practice or physician's office
The salary range for this position is $26.41 - $28.71 per hour, paid bi-weekly. This equates to approximately $54,795 - $59,455 per annum, based on a 75-hour bi-weekly schedule.
