Administrative Support II Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Administrative Support II to join our team in Edmonton Zone. This is a critical role that requires administrative skills and knowledge to support procedures, practices, and initiatives within the department or program.
About the Job
- This position will provide operational administrative support for the Records Management section of Health Information Management.
- You will be responsible for performing activities that directly support the security, maintenance, and integrity of the patient record through the life cycle, regardless of medium (electronic and/or paper).
- The incumbent will ensure requests are managed and forwarded in an efficient and timely manner, process urgent release of information requests off-hours, and perform auditing and remediation activities.
- This position will also support Connect Care sites across Edmonton Zone.
Responsibilities
- Pull, prep, and scan charts to Connect Care
- Manage and forward requests in an efficient and timely manner
- Process urgent release of information requests off-hours
- Audit and remediate activities
- Provide coverage for other roles within Health Information Management
Requirements
- Completion of Grade 12 or equivalent
- Accurate keyboarding speed of 40 words per minute required
- Strong computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required
- Demonstrated proficiency in the English language, both written and oral required
- Able to work all shifts as operationally required
- Must be able to set and organize own work priorities and adapt to change
- Must be able to work concurrently on a variety of tasks/projects in an environment that may be stressful with individuals having diverse personalities and work styles
Benefits and Compensation
The salary for this position is estimated to be around $52,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
