About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electrophysiology Specialist II to join our team at Alberta Health Services. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, providing exceptional care to patients with implanted cardiac devices.

Job Summary

The successful candidate will be responsible for performing device interrogations, remote device monitoring, and device programming within our Cardiac Device Clinic. They will also participate in the establishment of standards and objectives, provide expertise in equipment selection and evaluation, and coordinate follow-up visits and testing.

Responsibilities

  • Perform device interrogations, remote device monitoring, and device programming
  • Participate in the establishment of standards and objectives
  • Provide expertise in equipment selection and evaluation
  • Coordinate follow-up visits and testing
  • Work closely with interdisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality patient care

Requirements

  • Certificate from an accredited school of cardiology technology
  • Active or eligible registration with the Alberta Society of Registered Cardiology Technologists (ASRCT) and the Canadian Society of Cardiology Technologists (CSCT)
  • Current Basic Cardiac Life Support - Health Care Provider certification
  • Completion of the BCIT Cardiac Rhythm Device Technology Event Certificate (or equivalent)
  • Excellent communication and critical thinking skills
