Job Summary

O/S Skydart Logistics is seeking a highly skilled Logistics Dispatcher to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for coordinating the activities of vehicle operators and crews, ensuring timely and efficient transportation of goods.

Key Responsibilities
  • Dispatching and Coordination
    • Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment.
    • Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment.
  • Logistics and Operations
    • Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems.
    • Communicate with ships, aircraft, and other remote operations.
    • Follow-up on issues with work orders.
    • Keep track of shipments.
    • Maintain vehicle operator work records.
  • Customer Service
    • Provide customer service.
  • Administrative Tasks
    • Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses.
  • Computer and Technology
    • Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment.
    • Use electronic mail and spreadsheet software.
  • Work Environment
    • Work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines.
    • Work under pressure.
    Requirements
    • Education
      • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
    • Experience
      • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
    • Skills
      • Excellent oral communication skills.
