Job Title: Sales and Business Development Manager

Estimated Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Job Description:

This exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Sales and Business Development Manager to join our team at Gillfor Distribution. As a key member of our sales department, you will be responsible for driving business growth through strategic sales approaches and building strong relationships with our customers.

Your primary focus will be on identifying decision-makers within targeted leads to initiate the sales process, collaborating with our Division Manager to determine necessary sales strategies, and supporting marketing efforts where required.

In addition to these responsibilities, you will also be expected to make outbound follow-up calls to existing customers to cross-sell and up-sell products, handle inbound prospect calls, and convert them into sales. Furthermore, you will oversee pricing, purchases, logistics, account payables and receivables, and coordinate efforts with our sales team.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years' sales experience, preferably in the building supply industry
  • Familiarity with the Canadian market and its trends
  • Valid driver's license (as travel is required)
  • Self-motivated and target-driven individual with a proven track record in sales
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and negotiating skills
  • Prioritizing, time management, and organizational skills are essential
  • Able to adhere to all Health & Safety policies and procedures
  • Ability to establish, develop, and maintain positive business and customer relationships
  • Self-motivated, high energy, and engaging level of enthusiasm
