Business Development Manager

**Primary Responsibilities**
- Accountability for the assigned regions performance to the revenue budget, meeting or exceeding the agreed target.
- Drive prompt invoicing at site and work closely with Operations team to ensure correct use of MSALIMS for invoicing purposes.
- Ensure customer receivables are managed accordingly to maximize MSALABS cashflow.
- Drive regional implementation of the Company’s long
- and short-term plans in accordance with its strategy.
- Hold operations team accountable for delivery to customer requirements and productivity to ensure MSALABS can deliver competitive proposals to its customers.
- Monthly volume & revenue forecasting for the region.
**Client/Account Management & Business Development**
- Manage and develop existing Customer Relations, undertake and respond to customer satisfaction surveys (Net Promoter Score).
- Ownership of customer reviews & reporting (including KPIs etc) - internal and external.
- Develop client base and relationships in a contemporary way, as a partner to their operations to ensure the best outcome for both parties.
- Visit existing and potential new customers as required, develop strategies to pursue their business and scope out their future needs.
- Support other regions and the Capital Group Business Development functions in development of their respective opportunity pipelines.
- Adopt global processes to develop and implement Business Development Strategy, including use of standardized account planning and business development planning tools developed to support this activity.
- Support development of centralized Capital Group database on the industry, clients and commodities.
- Conduct Risk and Opportunity analysis along with Commercial & Finance teams to understand new markets/businesses etc.
- Survey regional legislation along with the Commercial & Finance teams to understand security impacts of current/new business.
**Commercial Responsibilities**:
- Timely communication of R&F changes and other price adjustments.
- Ensure adherence to commercial processes whilst delivering proposals to customers that maximize profitability and minimize risk for the organization.
- Lead regional quoting activity - supported by the global Commercial team as required.
- Support the commercial team as necessary to prepare and review all new contracts.
- Ensure appropriate implementation of client contracts, including enforcement of obligations. Work with operations team to ensure the same compliance.
- Work closely with the operations team to support planning and to help identify key areas to drive productivity and customer satisfaction.
- Work with the Commercial and Operations teams throughout the tendering process to act as the voice of the customer, whilst helping protect MSALABS interests.
**Marketing**
- Attend conferences and mining related shows to ensure brand awareness is maintained along with industry knowledge.
- Regional market and competitor data, including pricing intelligence etc.
- Support in the use and development of marketing material and brand awareness tools. Stay informed as to what the laboratory and mining industries are doing.
- Support implementation of new technology that can provide a competitive edge.
**Knowledge & Skills**
- Experience managing high performing teams.
- Proven ability to manage complexity and to perform in a high-pressure environment to deliver for the customer.
- Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office experience (Excel/Word/PowerPoint etc).
- Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) in English.
- Outstanding organisational skills.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with others across multiple time-zones, a team player.
**Education & Experience**
- Post secondary education in business or equivalent experience
- Previous experience with laboratory, geology, mining and engineering company sales
- National/regional level sales management and revenue responsibility experience
Pay: $100,000.00-$150,000.00 per year
