Financial Services Coordinator

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Financial Services Coordinator to join our team at the City of Whitehorse.
About the Role:This is a permanent full-time position, working 35 hours per week. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial transactions, preparing financial statements and reports, and maintaining accurate records.
Key Responsibilities:- Financial Transactions: Prepare general ledger, journal entries, and reconcile bank statements
- Financial Statements and Reports: Prepare trial balance, income tax, and financial statements
- Record Management: Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and fixed assets
- Cash Management: Manage cash and maintain control over financial transactions
- Education: College diploma or equivalent in finance or accounting
- Experience: 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in a local government setting
- Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ability to multitask and work in a team environment
- Salary: $60,000 - $80,000 per year, depending on experience
