Job Summary:

As an Administrative Coordinator in the Water and Waste Services department, you will provide exceptional customer service and coordination of front-line operations. This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Monitor and respond to customer inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
  • Coordinate and process various applications and permits, ensuring compliance with procedures and fees.
  • Perform financial duties, including calculating fees, receiving payments, and preparing bank deposits.
  • Direct requests and process work orders, including calculating labour charges and preparing invoices.
  • Perform administrative functions, including scheduling appointments and arranging meetings.
  • Assist in preparing and monitoring budgets for administrative supplies, equipment, and customer service areas.
  • Maintain accurate records and databases, including citizen complaints and employee training.
  • Develop and implement routine and specific advertisements for the City website.

Working Conditions:

This role is based in a busy office setting, requiring strong interpersonal and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Office Administration certificate with basic accounting.
  • Progressive experience in a customer service or administrative role.
  • Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service.

Requirements:

A combination of education, training, and experience may be considered. The successful candidate will require a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
