Job Title: Senior Manager, Financial Operations Performance Leader

About the Role:
As a Senior Manager, Financial Operations Performance Leader, you will be responsible for leading a team that provides financial and advisory services for the annual operating plan, five-year strategic outlook, and forecast. Your role will involve providing detailed analysis and commentary for all planning initiatives, as well as analysis of gaps between forecast and actual results.

Main Responsibilities:
  1. Streamline and manage the annual operating plan, five-year strategic plan process to integrate P&L, balance sheet, and strategic levers used by Senior Management.
  2. Foster a culture of performance excellence by ensuring appropriate metrics are used to provide effective early warning of risks to performance objectives and deliver appropriate responses.
  3. Manage the monthly T-5 estimates, enterprise forecast process, annual plan, and related business reviews focusing on alignment with strategy, transparent reporting on major initiatives, and increased use of business drivers and key performance metrics.
  4. Provide comprehensive, in-depth, and timely analytical support through developing financial summaries and presentations for VP, T&O Finance and T&O OC for forecast, plan, and five-year strategic outlook.
  5. Gain a comprehensive understanding of T&O business structure and collaborate with finance teams across the enterprise to ensure timely flow of information to enable effective and actionable decision-making.
  6. Provide guidance, comprehensive, and timely analytical support to T&O Finance teams on EPM system issues, changes, and resolution, including any T&O organizational changes.
  7. Collaborate with Enterprise Performance Management team for reporting of forecast/plan/5YO.
  8. Engage in various projects as required and support and prepare ad-hoc analysis for financial results as requested.
  9. Manage and actively coach junior staff to develop their capabilities to maintain a strong team.

Requirements:
  • 5+ years of relevant finance experience (or closely related function) experience.
  • Strong understanding of the drivers of performance and outcome measures of RBC's businesses.
  • Enterprise mindset and strong analytical capabilities.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills.
  • Strong in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Team player.
  • Initiative and proactive thinking.
  • Cope with tight timelines and occasionally long hours required.
  • Ability to work under pressure and demonstrate multi-tasking skill.
  • CA/CGA/CMA/MBA/CFA.
  • Solid people and project management skills.
  • Working experience and knowledge of EPM (Nice to Have).
