At Stonewood Group Inc., we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Operations Manager to join our team. This role will be responsible for overseeing all financial and administrative operations, ensuring the smooth day-to-day functioning of our business.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all bank associated issues, including executing transactions, monitoring daily bank balances, and dealing with account managers.
  • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of ERP software for practice management, financial, dictation, and administrative tasks.
  • Negotiate and manage all in-house leases, including photocopy machines, water coolers, postage, and equipment maintenance agreements.
  • Review and negotiate pricing for maintenance agreements and ensure effective file, chart, and inventory storage.
  • Special projects as required.
Human Resources and Legal:
  • Develop and implement employment law and procedures.
  • Create employee-related training materials, including orientation manuals and contingency plans.
  • Conduct annual performance evaluations in conjunction with team leaders.
  • Enter payroll bi-weekly into Ceridian payroll software and attend meetings with team leaders and executives.
  • Review and follow up on training and development for all staff members.
Finance:
  • Develop and implement finance and accounting procedures.
  • Provide guidance and support to the bookkeeper.
  • Review key performance indicators (KPIs) monthly to ensure production, collection, and accounts receivable are within plan.
  • Oversee PC accounts for owners, ensuring all entries and tax payments are made.
Strategic Planning:
  • Sources out new real estate and office space.
  • Organizes contract negotiations and lease for new space.
  • Designs and builds new office space.
  • Manages cost for projects, ensuring budgets are met.
  • Works with contractors and designers to ensure quality guidelines are met.
  • Sources out and purchases equipment and furniture.
  • Works with banks to secure loan amounts and organizes signatures.
Key Performance Deliverables:
  • Specific measures of performance will be discussed and agreed upon with the successful candidate.
  • Commercial Acumen: Applies appropriate commercial and financial principles.
  • Role Expertise: Demonstrates critical technical or professional knowledge/skills related to the role.
  • Experience in people management roles with recruitment, selection, hiring, coaching, feedback, employee engagement, and performance management.
  • A highly intelligent, strategically minded executive with superb communication and interpersonal skills.
