Vancouver Coastal Health is seeking a Registered Nurse to join the Downtown Eastside Youth Outreach team in Vancouver, BC.
The successful candidate will provide primary health care services, including clinical nursing, health promotion, and prevention, in inter-disciplinary clinic settings to clients of all ages.
Key Responsibilities
- Provides primary health care services, including clinical nursing, health promotion, and prevention, in inter-disciplinary clinic settings to clients of all ages.
- Consults, confers, and collaborates with interdisciplinary team members, educational resources, and other healthcare professionals/providers in the coordination of health services for clients and in the achievement of excellence in client-centered care and education.
- Develops and implements individualized care plans that address the unique needs of clients.
- Provides health education and promotion to clients and their families, and develops and implements health promotion programs.
- Collaborates with other healthcare professionals/providers to ensure comprehensive care for clients.
Qualifications
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives (BCCNM).
- Two (2) years' experience that includes recent community health and clinic nursing; experience working with clients of all ages, including antepartum and postpartum women, infants, children, and youth, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Ability to speak a second language may be required and will be noted on the posting if required.
Working Conditions
- Works in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple priorities and deadlines.
- May be required to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
- May be required to travel to various locations, including clinics and community settings.
