Youth Clinic Nurse

Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Youth Clinic Nurse to join our primary care team at Providence Health Care. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality nursing care to youth and young adults in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate nursing care for patients, using evidence-based practice and clinical judgment.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans, incorporating patient and family education, and making referrals to other resources as needed.
- Provide direct nursing interventions for crisis and life-threatening situations, and document patient progress and outcomes.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide comprehensive care, and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Advocate for patients' rights, dignity, and autonomy, and promote a culture of respect and inclusivity.
Requirements:
- Current practicing registration as a Registered Nurse with the British Columbia College of Nurses and Midwives.
- Two years' recent, related experience working with youth and young adults in a primary care and mental health setting.
- Completion of the Point of Care HIV Testing course, and successful completion of the BCCDC Immunization certificate.
- STI Management Certified Practice, or evidence of enrollment.
