As a Clinical Counselling Student Practicum Learner, you will be part of a dynamic and collaborative team within our EFAP, Stay At Work Services, and Return To Work Services units. You will work closely with experienced student supervisors, trainers, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver seamless services and programs to clients and customers.

We offer a comprehensive learning experience that will help you develop your skills and knowledge in delivering short-term and single-session counselling, risk management, and crisis situations. Our focus on quality and continuous learning ensures that you are equipped with the tools and expertise to excel in your career.

The estimated salary for this position is between $45,000 - $55,000 per year, based on national averages for similar roles in Canada.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver SAW direct and indirect clinical services, including confidential counselling
  • Establish treatment plans, complete case progress notes, and other indirect clinical services
  • Adhere to professional standards and best practices
  • Participate in training as required
  • Work collaboratively with other clinical managers within SAW and RTW

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Master's Program relevant to Clinical Counselling
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Windows, Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
  • Excellent listening skills combined with ability to convey empathy

Competencies and Attributes:

  • Experience delivering short-term and single-session counselling
  • Ability to manage risk and crisis situations and apply good clinical judgment under pressure
  • Talent for providing seamless customer service delivery and identifying opportunities for customer service improvement
