About the Role

The Trauma program at CASA Child, Adolescent and Family Mental Health is seeking a skilled Mental Health Nurse to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will work closely with children, youth, and families to provide high-quality, trauma-focused care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive nursing assessments to identify mental health concerns and current risk.
  • Develop and implement individualized care plans to promote, maintain, and restore health.
  • Collaborate with the care team to monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of interventions.
  • Provide education and support to families to empower them to manage their child's mental health.
  • Participate in group therapy and other treatment modalities to promote healing and growth.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in nursing.
  • Minimum of three to five years of recent pediatric experience in an ambulatory care setting.
  • Member in good standing with the College of Registered Nurses of Alberta or College of Registered Psychiatric Nurses of Alberta.
  • Knowledge of the Health Information and Protection of Privacy Information Acts and professional organization's ethics and standards of practice.
