Retail Store Supervisor

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at APNA Farm Halal Meat and Grocery. As a key member of our management team, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our retail store, ensuring that our customers receive exceptional service and that our store runs smoothly and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise and Train Staff: Supervise and train our sales staff, including apprentices, sales associates, and design team members, to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to provide excellent customer service.
- Assign Sales Workers to Duties: Assign sales workers to duties, including sales floor coverage, customer service, and visual merchandising.
- Hire and Train New Staff: Hire and train new staff members, including conducting interviews, creating training plans, and providing ongoing support and feedback.
- Order Merchandise: Order merchandise and supplies, including groceries, meat, and other products, to ensure that our store is well-stocked and that our customers have access to a wide range of products.
- Authorize Returns: Authorize returns and exchanges, ensuring that our customers are satisfied with their purchases and that our store's return policy is consistently enforced.
- Establish Work Schedules: Establish work schedules for our sales staff, including creating schedules, managing time-off requests, and ensuring that our store is adequately staffed at all times.
- Prepare Reports: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters, providing valuable insights to our management team and helping us to make informed business decisions.
- Resolve Issues: Resolve issues that may arise, including customer complaints, supply shortages, and other problems that may impact our store's operations.
- Organize and Maintain Inventory: Organize and maintain our inventory, including receiving and stocking merchandise, managing inventory levels, and ensuring that our store's inventory is accurate and up-to-date.
- Supervise and Coordinate Activities: Supervise and coordinate the activities of our sales staff, including managing their workload, providing guidance and support, and ensuring that our store's operations are running smoothly and efficiently.
- Conduct Performance Reviews: Conduct performance reviews with our sales staff, providing feedback and coaching to help them improve their performance and achieve their goals.
- Supervise Office and Volunteer Staff: Supervise our office and volunteer staff, including providing guidance and support, managing their workload, and ensuring that our store's administrative tasks are completed efficiently and effectively.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a retail management role.
- Work Environment: Non-smoking environment.
- Work Setting: Retail business.
- Transportation/Travel Information: Public transportation is available.
- Work Conditions and Physical Capabilities: Fast-paced environment, attention to detail, and ability to multitask.
