Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team to develop, drive, and support technology strategies that enable the Group Benefits business to deliver innovative digital experiences to customers and drive efficiencies and effectiveness.
- Collaborate with Group Benefits Product Partners and Directors of Engineering to act as a key senior technology partner to develop and implement the right technology solutions to drive the business.
- Align the technology strategy, plans, and implementation of solutions with the delivery of Group Benefits business goals.
- Identify and exploit internal best practices to adapt to the advantage of Manulife Group Benefits technology.
- Provide leadership and direction in developing a team of highly engaged, geographically diverse, Technology professionals, and empower them to enable the development, delivery, and operation of a premier technology strategy.
- Coordinate all aspects of technology for the Group Benefits unit, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks for each applicable business function.
- Partner closely with key risk customers within the Group Benefits to coordinate work effort to ensure solutions meet industry risk practices.
- Establish operating and investment budgets within the respective work area consistent with short and long-term Group Benefits financial goals.
- Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, management of information systems, or equivalent.
- Exceptional communications judgement and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels with both technical and non-technical customers.
- Confident presentation and facilitation skills and strong interpersonal and leadership skills to facilitate working with management.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to deliver actionable recommendations based on analysis.
