About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Director of Media Planning and Strategy to join our team at Other. This is a leadership role that requires expertise in media planning and strategy, as well as the ability to lead and manage a team of media planners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development of complex media plans, forecasting results, and providing detailed points of view when needed.
  • Represent the media planning team in client-facing communications, including briefings, statuses, deliverables, and presentations.
  • Oversee end-to-end execution, ensuring a high level of accuracy and rigor when working with partners.
  • Proactively analyze performance and collaborate across departments to optimize plans to achieve client KPIs.
  • Bring forward proactive opportunities for clients and contribute to upsells to drive both the company's and client's businesses forward.
  • Generate and communicate key program insights and actions directly to clients.
  • Understand the company's vision, department strategy, and immediate business needs.
  • Oversee day-to-day work, monitor team utilization, and identify areas for individual growth and development.
  • Provide strategic guidance and prioritize day-to-day tasks for junior team members.
  • Mentor and develop junior team members, offering career development opportunities and actionable feedback.

Requirements

  • Extensive working knowledge in both digital and traditional media.
  • Experience leading negotiations with media vendors.
  • Extensive experience using various essential media planning tools, such as Vividata, Comscore, and Sizmek.
  • Exceptional ability to interpret data and derive strategic insights based on analysis.
  • Interest in growing not only your career but also mentoring and developing an associate under you.
