Job Title: Director of IT Strategy and Planning

Manulife/John Hancock is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of IT Strategy and Planning to lead our Group Benefits technology strategy and planning efforts. As a key member of our technology team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing technology strategies that enable our Group Benefits business to deliver innovative digital experiences to our customers and drive efficiencies and effectiveness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement technology strategies that align with our Group Benefits business goals
  • Lead a team of technology professionals to develop, deliver, and operate a premier technology strategy
  • Collaborate with Group Benefits Product Partners and Directors of Engineering to develop and implement technology solutions
  • Identify and exploit internal best practices to drive technology innovation and efficiency
  • Provide leadership and direction to a geographically diverse team of technology professionals
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in computer engineering, management of information systems, or equivalent
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate complex technical issues into fundamental concepts
  • Experience in leading technology teams and developing technology strategies
