The Residential Mortgage Portfolio Specialist role at Equitable Bank requires strong analytical and organizational skills. As a key member of the Single-Family Residential Department, you will be responsible for maintaining and updating mortgage files from commitment approval to loan funding.

Job Description:Main Responsibilities:
  • Maintain and update mortgage files: Ensure all documentation meets corporate guidelines and mitigates concerns surrounding suspected misrepresentation.
  • Ensure compliance: Verify income, down payment, and client interviews adhere to AML/ATF requirements and lending policies.
  • Time management: Meet prescribed deadlines and make diligent use of reports to track deal flow.
  • Communication: Collaborate with internal and external contacts to process transactions efficiently.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Post-secondary degree in a financial field.
  • 1-2 years of mortgage experience in the alternative market.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
