About the Opportunity

The Nova Scotia Health Authority seeks a highly skilled Administrative Support Specialist to provide comprehensive administrative support to the Director(s). This role involves coordinating the day-to-day operation of the Director's office, establishing administrative procedures, and acting as a liaison with executive assistants and administrative assistants within the portfolio and across the health authority.

About You

We are looking for a candidate with a post-secondary diploma in office administration, business administration, or a related field. A minimum of 5-7 years of experience in providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level, preferably within healthcare, is required. Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, and organizational skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative support to the Director(s) and coordinate the day-to-day operation of the office
  • Establish and maintain administrative procedures and guidelines
  • Act as a liaison with executive assistants and administrative assistants within the portfolio and across the health authority
  • Support assigned networks, individuals, committees, or working groups
Requirements
  • Post-secondary diploma in office administration, business administration, or a related field
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in providing administrative support and office coordination at the executive level
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, prioritizing, and organizational skills
