About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Head Chef to join our team at Whistler Tacos La Cantina. As a key member of our culinary team, you will be responsible for leading the kitchen and ensuring that our menu items are prepared to the highest standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Menu Planning and Execution: Plan and execute menus that meet the needs of our customers and align with our brand's culinary vision.
  • Chef Management: Supervise and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff to ensure that they are working efficiently and effectively.
  • Food Safety and Quality: Maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality in the kitchen, including proper food handling, storage, and preparation procedures.
  • Inventory Management: Manage inventory levels and ordering to ensure that we have the necessary ingredients and supplies to meet customer demand.
  • Cost Control: Monitor and control food costs to ensure that we are meeting our budgetary targets.
  • Customer Service: Provide exceptional customer service by ensuring that all menu items are prepared to order and that customers receive their food in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • 3+ Years of Experience: A minimum of 3 years of experience as a head chef or in a similar role.
  • Culinary Education: A culinary degree or equivalent experience.
  • Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and train a team of cooks and kitchen staff.
  • Attention to Detail: A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to maintain the highest standards of food safety and quality.
  • Physical Demands: The ability to stand for long periods and work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
