Hydrogen Technician Instructor

We are seeking a highly qualified instructor to join our team at the College of the North Atlantic. The successful candidate will be responsible for teaching and developing courses related to the Hydrogen Technician program.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and deliver instructional materials and lesson plans to support the delivery of courses in the Hydrogen Technician program.
- Instruct students in both classroom and shop settings, utilizing various teaching strategies and techniques to achieve specified learning outcomes.
- Evaluate student progress, establish performance objectives, and communicate effectively with students to ensure a positive and productive learning environment.
- Participate in professional development activities to remain current in the field and contribute to accreditation activities to ensure the program meets the highest standards.
- Deliver theory and practical components of all courses outlined in the program.
- Demonstrate knowledge and experience in the Chemical or Petroleum Process Operations field.
- Have an understanding of methods used to teach course concepts and classroom management.
- Have effective communication, analytical, conflict resolution, and organizational skills.
- Be able to work independently and as part of a collaborative team while establishing and maintaining effective working relationships in a teaching environment.
- Completion of a Bachelor of Engineering Degree (Chemical, Petroleum, or Process) or equivalent degree supplemented with 2 years' recent, relevant industry experience; or
- Completion of a diploma in Chemical, Petroleum, or Process Engineering Technology supplemented with a Bachelor of Technology Degree or a Bachelor of Engineering Technology Degree with concentration in the subject area and 4 years' recent, relevant industry experience.
Salary will be commensurate with qualifications and experience in accordance with the College of the North Atlantic Faculty Collective Agreement.
