Key Responsibilities:
- Lead by example, demonstrating respect for every team member and guest
- Assist in recruitment and retention strategies, ensuring a positive work environment
- React promptly to issues requiring attention during the shift, maintaining a high level of service
- Provide ongoing, specific direction to team members, promoting a culture of excellence
- Encourage an exciting and fun work environment, motivating team members to meet goals
- Train, orientate, and monitor new team members, utilizing performance tracking systems and feedback mechanisms
- Report team member performance to management, ensuring accountability and growth
- Assist in ensuring optimal team member coverage, working various positions during busy periods to maintain exceptional service levels
Hospitality Management:
- Lead by example, demonstrating that the guest is top priority and reinforcing positive hospitality behaviors with team members
- Respond to guests in a friendly manner, maintaining an appropriate sense of urgency
- Respond to guest service complaints in a timely manner, resolving problems and turning potentially negative situations into positive outcomes
- Assist in the running of company-wide incentive programs, promoting a culture of excellence
Operations Management:
- Display knowledge of and work in compliance with applicable legislation, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
- Comply with and enforce all Tim Hortons operating standards, maintaining a high level of quality and service
- Ensure that all product and packaging is properly merchandised and stocked, maintaining a visually appealing environment
- Responsible for shift cash procedures, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain operational efficiency through the use of positioning charts, ensuring a smooth and efficient workflow
- Supervise team members to ensure primary and secondary duties are completed, promoting a culture of accountability
- Ensure all restaurant policies are followed during the shift, including cash policies, meal and break policies, and food safety policies
- Keep current on all new information on the company portal or available through town hall meetings, staying informed and up-to-date
- Assist the Restaurant Manager in driving sales and transactions during the shift, promoting a culture of excellence
- Complete all required shift documentation, including records of waste, manager walk-throughs, and pre-rush checklists
- Escalate to management any issues or problems, ensuring prompt resolution
Health & Safety:
- Work in compliance with occupational health and safety legislation, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
- Know, understand, and follow safe work practices and procedures, maintaining a high level of safety awareness
- Use or wear personal protective equipment or clothing as required, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment
- Report all injuries/illness, accidents, unsafe conditions, security incidents, and any contravention of health and safety legislation, policies, and procedures to the Restaurant Manager or Owner
- Do not operate any equipment, machine, device, or thing, or otherwise work in a manner that will endanger anyone
- Ensure health and safety policies are followed during the shift, including documentation and reporting of any work-related injuries or accidents
Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year experience in a similar role
