Full-Time Manager

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Administrative Leader to join our team at St. Joseph's Villa, Dundas. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and professional leadership, mentorship, supervision, and coordination of all sub-region staff supports and scheduling within our Long-Term Care Homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the referral process and prioritize and allocate clinical responses based on our care pathways model.
- Identify gaps in services, training, and performance, in collaboration with our leadership team.
- Maintain the master schedule and database for the sub-region, ensuring fair and equitable coverage of our Long-Term Care Homes.
- Manage sick calls, personal days, vacation requests, and leave of absence requests in accordance with our organization's practices.
- Review and authorize travel expenses for team members prior to submission to the program senior manager.
- Ensure regular communication with our Long-Term Care Homes' leadership team to evaluate staff efficacy, performance, and needs.
- Mentor staff in the field, working alongside, collaborating with, and supporting with referrals.
- Manage the performance of staff by investigating complaints and performance concerns.
- Complete site visits for planned and unplanned audits and follow our organization's Performance Management and Disciplinary process.
- Advise the program senior manager immediately of any serious performance violations or privacy breaches.
- Attend to attendance management of all staff in the sub-region, in accordance with our organization's practices.
- Participate in supportive meetings, coaching, offer Employee Assistance Programs, and identify trends.
- Collaborate with the Senior Manager as needed.
- Work as a front-line staff member as needed to manage referrals in Long-Term Care Homes where staff are unavailable or where staffing shortages prevent the timely progression of a referral.
- Submit data collection monthly to meet our designation requirements.
- Submit data collection quarterly to Strategic Leads/Ontario Health to maintain our requirements.
- Participate in engagement activities, educational events, and mandatory training.
- Promote and implement all our activities and material circulation as advised by the Senior Manager, the BSO Strategic Lead, and the BSO Advisory Committee.
- Develop and maintain an effective referral and follow-up system in collaboration with existing community resources.
- Ensure all staff follow proper protocol within the LTC community in regards to outbreaks, vaccine protocol, and quarantines.
- Member in good standing of regulatory college for RN, OT, PT, or SW.
- Previous experience in a progressive leadership or management role required.
- Experience or advanced training in the field of gerontology and dementia preferred.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office.
- Understanding of community resources available to LTCHs for supports with geriatric, dementia, and mental health.
