Job Summary

ParaMed is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Personal Support Worker to join our team in a full-time capacity. As a Personal Support Worker, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to our clients in their homes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care and support to clients in their homes, including bathing, dressing, and grooming
  • Assist clients with daily living activities, such as meal preparation and medication management
  • Support clients with mobility and transfer needs, including walking and transferring
  • Provide emotional support and companionship to clients
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans

Requirements

  • Completed a Personal Support Worker (PSW) program or Home Care Aide (HCA)/Caregiver Assistant (CCA) certification
  • Experience working in a long-term care or community home care setting, with exposure to dementia and palliative care
  • Knowledge and experience in care planning systems and documentation
  • Ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare professionals
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
