Alexa Translations is a leading translation service provider that helps the world's largest and most prestigious legal, financial, and government industries with translation solutions.

We're looking for a dynamic Business Development Director to champion our A.I. platform and Professional Translations solutions. As an individual contributor in our team, you'll be the driving force in the sales cycle, from prospecting to negotiation, engaging with decision-makers from C-level executives to department managers.

The successful candidate will have access to an office at our current Toronto, Montreal, or Mexico City locations and tools that will allow you to work from home when required (laptop, phone, G-suite).

This role is for a resourceful self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset and commitment to exceptional client service. If you're energized by autonomy, problem-solving, and achieving ambitious goals, we want you on our Alexa Translations team.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Strategic prospecting and prioritizing high-opportunity prospects in your assigned target markets.
  • Building and maintain a solid pipeline of opportunities with a mix of near-term and longer-term close dates.
  • Managing the end-to-end sales cycle through active prospecting, handling inbound leads, securing effective deal closure, and proactively managing ongoing relationships with subscription clients.

You'll require 5+ years of proven success in strategic selling to complex accounts, full proficiency in professional-level English and French, and strong track record of successfully managing all aspects of the sales cycle.

In return, you can expect a market-related base salary of $120,000 + commission, plus benefits including access to cutting-edge technology, training programs, and a collaborative work environment.
