Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. As a Mental Health Coordinator, you will be responsible for coordinating specialized mental health and substance use services. Your duties will include coordinating and assigning requests for consultation, prioritizing consultations based on urgency and patient assessment, and providing liaison with healthcare professionals. You will also support care planning, education, and networking with community programs.

Key Responsibilities

Coordinate and assign requests for consultation
Prioritize consultations based on urgency and patient assessment
Provide liaison with healthcare professionals
Support care planning and education
Network with community programs

Requirements

Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN
Three years of recent related clinical experience in an acute care Mental Health and Substance Use setting
Additional training/education in opioid agonist therapies, addiction and psychiatric pharmacotherapy processes, substance use and chronic pain, Trauma Informed Practice, Harm Reduction approaches, Stages of Change, and other relevant best practices therapies
Two years of recent teaching experience
Current valid driver's license
