Job Summary

Northern Health Authority is seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our Specialized Services department. As a key member of our team, you will provide primary therapeutic, case management, and mental health and substance use support services for assigned clients. Your expertise will be essential in helping individuals achieve their goals and improve their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities

Provide assessment and treatment services to clients, including initial and ongoing assessments, and develop and implement care plans.
Teach clients and others, both one-on-one and in groups, to promote their health and well-being.
Integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions, with a strong focus on harm reduction and trauma-informed approaches.
Communicate effectively with clients, families, and the interdisciplinary team, using verbal, written, and computer communication means.
Demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills, using a systems approach to problem-solve and make decisions effectively.

Requirements

Baccalaureate degree in a mental health and substance use related discipline, plus two years of recent related experience, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
Demonstrated ability to assess and treat clients, teach clients and others, and integrate best practice and current research evidence to support professional practice decisions and actions.
Ability to communicate effectively, demonstrate critical thinking and decision-making skills, and work collaboratively as part of an interdisciplinary team.
Physical ability to perform the duties of the position.
