Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Northern Health Authority. As a Primary Care Mental Health Specialist, you will be responsible for providing competent, safe, and ethical care for individuals and families in various settings. Your expertise will be essential in developing and implementing care plans to assist clients in managing their mental health or addiction challenges.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify client needs and develop personalized care plans
• Provide counseling and therapy services to individuals and groups
• Collaborate with interprofessional teams to ensure comprehensive care
• Educate clients and their families on mental health and addiction issues
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance client care

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in an Allied Health, Behavioral, or Social Science field
• 2 years of experience in a health setting working with complex care clients
• Current valid BC driver's license
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
