Position Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and organized Registered Nurse to join our healthcare team. If you are a caring and dedicated professional with a strong commitment to patient care and well-being, this opportunity may be a great fit for you.

In accordance with the vision and values of Northern Health, the incumbent is responsible for coordinating specialized mental health and substance use services. Key responsibilities include coordinating and assigning requests for consultation, prioritizing consultations based on urgency and patient assessment, and providing liaison with healthcare professionals to support care planning and education.

Shift Rotation/Hours of Work: Monday to Friday, 08:30 to 17:00

New Wage: As of April 1, 2024, the new wage is: $49.20 - $67.08/hour

Requirements:

  • Registration with the BC College of Nurses and Midwives as a practicing RN or RPN
  • Three years of recent related clinical experience in an acute care mental health and substance use setting
  • Additional training/education in opioid agonist therapies, addiction and psychiatric pharmacotherapy processes, substance use and chronic pain, Trauma Informed Practice, Harm Reduction approaches, Stages of Change, and other relevant best practices therapies
  • Two years of recent teaching experience
  • Current valid driver's license
