Painter and Decorator

We are a leading provider of painting and construction services, seeking a skilled and experienced individual to join our team as a Painter and Decorator.
Key Responsibilities- Surface Preparation: Prepare, clean and sand surfaces to be painted, ensuring a smooth and even finish.
- Repair and Maintenance: Repair cracks and holes in walls and ceilings, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure our facilities remain in excellent condition.
- Painting and Finishing: Mix paint to desired color and texture, and apply paint, wallpaper and other materials and finishes to interior and exterior surfaces.
- Customer Service: Advise consumers on colors and choice of wall coverings, providing expert guidance and recommendations to meet their needs.
- Estimation and Planning: Estimate costs and materials required for projects, and plan and coordinate work schedules to ensure timely completion.
- Attention to Detail: Maintain a high level of attention to detail, ensuring all work is completed to a high standard.
- Physical Demands: Perform physically demanding tasks, including bending, crouching and kneeling, and lift up to 23 kg (50 lbs) as required.
- Client Focus: Provide excellent customer service, responding to consumer needs and concerns in a professional and courteous manner.
- Interpersonal Skills: Develop and maintain effective relationships with colleagues, clients and other stakeholders, demonstrating efficient and effective communication skills.
- Flexibility and Initiative: Demonstrate flexibility and initiative, adapting to changing circumstances and priorities as required.
- Reliability and Teamwork: Demonstrate reliability and a commitment to teamwork, working collaboratively with others to achieve shared goals and objectives.
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate.
- Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in a related field.
Language: English.
Work Hours: 35 hours per week.
