The Montessori Post is seeking a visionary School Director Leader to lead our esteemed institution in Ontario. This is a rare opportunity for an exceptional educator to shape the future of our students and staff.

About the Role

This leadership position requires a seasoned professional with a deep understanding of Montessori principles, the Ontario Curriculum, and a commitment to academic excellence. As a School Director Leader, you will be responsible for fostering a culture of continuous improvement, innovation, and student-centered teaching methods.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Vision

Prioritize the well-being and individual development of each student and staff member, ensuring a positive and inclusive school culture that supports social and emotional growth.

Curriculum Development

Develop and implement a comprehensive Montessori curriculum for Toddler – Grade 12 students, aligning with Ontario curriculum standards and Growing Success.

Communication and Engagement

Build and maintain strong relationships with parents, foster open communication, and collaborate with the community to enhance the educational experience.

Administrative Oversight

Provide effective management and oversight of day-to-day school operations, including admissions, scheduling, and resource allocation.

Financial Management

Work closely with the school board to develop and manage the annual budget, ensuring financial resources are allocated effectively to support educational initiatives.

Professional Development

Encourage and support the professional growth of staff through training opportunities, workshops, and ongoing education.

Compliance and Accreditation

Ensure the school adheres to all relevant education regulations and standards, working towards and maintaining relevant accreditations and certifications.

Requirements
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in educational leadership, preferably within a Montessori environment.
  • Ontario Principal's Qualification Program (PQP) certification or equivalent experience.
  • Member in good standing with the Ontario College of Teachers.
  • Strong knowledge and commitment to Montessori principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to build and lead a collaborative and high-performing team.
  • Experience with a Non-For-Profit (NFP).
What We Offer

A competitive salary range of $120,000 - $160,000 per year, depending on experience, plus a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for professional growth and development.
