Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Team Lead to join our team at Inder's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our retail store, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the grocery department, ensuring that all aspects of customer service, sales, and inventory management are met.

About the Role

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in retail management, with experience in supervising staff, managing inventory, and achieving sales targets. You will be expected to provide exceptional customer service, resolve conflicts, and promote a positive work environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and co-ordinate activities of grocery clerks and shelf stockers
  • Organize and maintain inventory, including ordering merchandise and authorizing returns
  • Sell merchandise and prepare reports on sales volumes and merchandising matters
  • Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints, and supply shortages
  • Establish work schedules and supervise staff to ensure efficient use of time and resources
Requirements
  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate required
  • 1 year to less than 2 years of experience in retail management or supervision required
  • Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
  • Familiarity with inventory management software and point-of-sale systems an asset
Benefits
