Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Retail Store Supervisor to join our team at Inder's Your Independent Grocer. As a key member of our retail operations team, you will be responsible for supervising staff, managing store operations, and ensuring exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of retail staff, including sales associates, cashiers, and stockroom personnel.
  • Manage store operations, including inventory management, merchandising, and visual displays.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve customer satisfaction and loyalty.
  • Monitor and control store expenses, including labor costs, inventory, and supplies.
  • Collaborate with the store manager to achieve sales goals and objectives.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Recruit, train, and develop retail staff to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to excel in their roles.
  • Conduct performance evaluations and provide feedback to staff.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices, applying this knowledge to improve store operations and customer service.
Requirements
  • 1-2 years of experience in a retail management role.
  • Proven track record of success in supervising and developing retail staff.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; post-secondary education in a related field an asset.
