Job Title: Research and Policy Analyst

At the Canadian Centre on Substance Use and Addiction, we are seeking a highly skilled Research and Policy Analyst to join our team. As a key member of our research team, you will be responsible for conducting research and providing policy analysis to inform our work in the field of substance use and addiction.

About the Position

The Research and Policy Analyst will work closely with our research team to identify research priorities and develop research proposals. You will also be responsible for conducting literature reviews, analyzing data, and synthesizing research findings to inform policy decisions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct research and provide policy analysis to inform our work in the field of substance use and addiction
  • Develop research proposals and identify research priorities
  • Conduct literature reviews and analyze data to inform policy decisions
  • Synthesize research findings and present recommendations to stakeholders
  • Represent CCSA on expert committees and working groups
  • Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to advance knowledge mobilization practices
Qualifications
  • Masters or PhD in a relevant field, such as health sciences, social sciences, or epidemiology
  • Three to five years of experience conducting research and providing policy analysis
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Eligible for a Government of Canada security clearance
Assets
  • Experience working in or with governmental, non-governmental, or international organizations
  • Experience preparing successful grant proposals and reviewing grant proposals
  • Bilingual in English and French
