Job Opportunity:

Aecon Nuclear is seeking a highly organized and communicative Co-op Project Coordinator to support the Darlington New Nuclear Project. The successful candidate will report to the TBM Specialist and be responsible for providing field and office support to tunnel management/operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Completing project shift reports as needed with internal software.
  • Supplying field and office support to tunnel management/operations: assisting in the development and maintenance of work plans and packages in cooperation with construction and engineering.
  • Providing accurate progress reports to tunnel management.
  • Assisting and monitoring safety programs and statistics as required.
  • Active involvement in quality assurance with regards to understanding and implementing policies and procedures.
  • Supporting TBM and surface shift coordinators: on-site testing of materials/products as required, collection of samples, completing quality control checks using internal check sheets, and filling in as shift coordinator as needed.

Requirements:

  • Pursuing a Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Mining Engineering, or Mechanical Engineering degree preferred.
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0.
  • Proficient written (report writing) communication skills.
  • Knowledge of SharePoint applications an asset.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication (both oral and written) skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills in communicating with a large team.
  • Thriving in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiar with TBM tunneling concept and have a desire to learn.
