About the Role

E.S. Fox Limited is seeking a highly skilled Modification Team Lead to join our Nuclear Services team in Oshawa, ON. As a key member of our project management team, you will be responsible for coordinating detailed design and construction work plans, ensuring project efficiency, and collaborating with project managers, schedulers, and engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare project ECs for markups of non-design documents, including operations, maintenance, and training documents
  • Coordinate detailed design activities with DTLs and obtain weekly status reports from engineering service providers
  • Setup and chair COMS meetings, review and concur on revision of release plans, and initiate MRs for free-issue materials
  • Inform assessing of changes to design ECs, initiate TCRs for TMODs, and fill in the FTL role
  • Establish AFS/OPS acceptance strategies, coordinate work plan preparation, and ensure new Cat-IDs are set to READY prior to installation
  • Review ITFs frequently, develop installation and AFS strategies, and prepare detailed commissioning specs and reports
  • Document installation issues on ITFs, collaborate with DTLs on FIC or intend changes, and arrange post-installation walk-downs with stakeholders
  • Provide installation and commissioning oversight, ensure all FICs are included in EC revisions prior to AFS, and prepare and coordinate AFS activities
  • Coordinate TMOD removal, closeout activities, and perform oversight on design subcontractors
  • Prepare installation and commissioning work plans and procedures as needed, update operations and maintenance procedures, and perform constructability reviews
  • Work closely with project management teams to develop construction strategies, coordinate with engineering teams and subcontractors, and attend planning meetings
  • Chair design meetings, manage vendor documentation and data, and resolve technical issues with project stakeholders
  • Ensure punch lists are properly defined and resolved prior to commissioning, start-up, and contractor demobilization
  • Attend project meetings and perform site surveys or walk-outs as necessary to ensure availability and accuracy of basic design information
  • Collate and keep up-to-date detailed design risk registers and advise project teams of risks that may affect site safety, costs, schedules, and client relations
Requirements, Experience, and Skills
  • Bachelor's degree in engineering or a related technical discipline (asset)
  • 3-5 years of experience in construction scheduling or an equivalent combination of training and related construction experience
  • Demonstrated understanding of scheduling, job costing, and project tracking systems
  • Strong technical, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of project management software (MS Project, Primavera, etc.)
  • Previous construction site experience (asset)
