Job Summary

The Teaching and Learning Assistant will provide administrative support to the Office of the Vice-Provost (Teaching and Learning) in a professional and efficient manner. The successful candidate will maintain a working knowledge of Senate protocols and Queen's University Quality Assurance Processes (QUQAP) and support committees and working groups.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the Office of the Vice-Provost (Teaching and Learning)
  • Maintain a working knowledge of Senate protocols and QUQAP
  • Support committees and working groups
  • Draft briefing notes, minutes, and agendas
  • Manage and verify content on the Vice-Provost (Teaching and Learning) and Quality Assurance websites

Requirements

  • Three-year post-secondary education with minimum 3 years relevant experience in a high-profile office/client service environment
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and WebPublish
  • Comprehensive knowledge of university structure administrative/computing systems, academic programs, and structures

  • Initiative and ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Excellent project management, organizational, and time management skills
  • Good judgment and effective analytical abilities
  • Ability to demonstrate a high level of professionalism, integrity, and reliability
