Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist

A challenging opportunity for a skilled Manufacturing Engineering Specialist to join our team at Cosma in Milton, Ontario. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for championing the design, build, and development of assembly processes required to assemble full perimeter frames, front and rear cradles, and rear twist axles for our customers.
About the RoleThis is a hands-on role that requires strong technical expertise and excellent communication skills. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to develop and improve packaging methods, update plant layout drawings, and support new business quoting processes. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering within an automotive or related industry.
Key Responsibilities- Lead the development and improvement of packaging methods for new and existing programs
- Update current and prepare plant layout drawings with modifications to existing lines and installations of new lines and processes
- Support new business quoting process with packaging recommendations including pack densities and design concepts for custom racks as well as plant layout drawings showing new lines and processes location
- Work with all departments and customers to design solutions that improve production efficiency, ergonomics, safety, and maintenance-related issues
- Minimum 5 years manufacturing engineering experience within an automotive or related manufacturing industry
- Engineering Degree/Diploma in Manufacturing Engineering, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering
- Experience in Project Management
- Experience with CAD (preferably AutoCAD)
We offer a competitive salary range of $95,000 - $125,000 per year, depending on experience.
