Supply Chain Optimization Specialist

We are seeking a seasoned professional to join our North America Procurement team in Milton, ON as a Supply Chain Optimization Specialist. This role plays a pivotal part in driving operational excellence and continuous improvement within the procurement team.
Job Overview:The Supply Chain Optimization Specialist will be responsible for optimizing procurement, sourcing, and purchasing processes to align with business objectives. Key responsibilities include leading cross-functional initiatives, developing performance metrics, and promoting a culture of innovation and efficiency.
This role involves leveraging industry best practices and emerging technologies to enhance procurement operations and contribute to the organization's strategic success.
Your Future Team:You will become part of the procurement team and report directly to the Director of Procurement, North America.
Main Responsibilities:- Optimize procurement, sourcing, and purchasing processes to drive cost savings and improve efficiency
- Implement EDI processes for Purchase Orders
- Manage Master Data for Raw Materials across North America
- Develop KPIs to track procurement effectiveness
- Lead cross-functional projects for procurement improvements
- Ensure procurement aligns with business goals
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Bachelor's degree in a STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)
- Proficient in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Visio, MS Project)
- Strong data analysis and decision-making skills
- Experienced in managing complex projects from start to finish
- Skilled in aligning procurement with business goals and strategic planning
